“When you listen to Bruce’s music, you aren’t a loser. You are a character in an epic poem … about losers”

The Kennedy Center Honors aired last night, and of course I didn't miss it. (I even recorded it)

anyways, every year I always find the presentations so moving. The honorees are always so deserving, and when I hear about their life stories and accomplishments, it makes me want to be an American too. Not that I'm not proud of being a Canadian, I love my country, but Americans are so proud of who they are. And if there's one person who loves his country to the death, it's gotta be 'The Boss'.

to anyone who has been to one of his concerts, you are one lucky person. i'm praying for the day when he tours again. If you've never heard a Bruce Springsteen song, then you are missing out. His songs are stories, they take you on a journey, you don't feel so alone when you hear his voice singing about your life, about the things you go through, they give you hope. That's why he's The Boss.

“People deserve. . . the truth. They deserve honesty. The best music, you can seek some shelter in it momentarily, but it's essentially there to provide you something to face the world with.”

-Bruce Springsteen

There's a dark cloud rising from the desert floor
I packed my bags and I'm heading straight into the storm
Gonna be a twister to blow everything down
That ain't got the faith to stand its ground
Blow away the dreams that tear you apart
Blow away the dreams that break your heart
Blow away the lies that leave you nothing but lost and brokenhearted
